Accountant, Credit to Cash

Introduction 

We are looking for a Credir to Cash Accountant to join our Finance Mexico Team. In this role, you will  carrying out Finance activities within the Metso Finance team in Irapuato, Mexico. In this position, you will report to the Mexico Finance Head.This role is based in Irapuato, Gto.

You will join a team dedicated to providing solutions, recommendations and preventive actions that safeguard the safety of all Metso personnel. 

What you’ll do 

• 1+ years experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or similar role
• Strong understanding of AR and credit management processes
• Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented mindset with ability to work in a cross-cultural international environment.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn and support process improvements.
• Advanced written and spoken English.
• SAP or other ERP system knowledge is considered an advantage.

What you’ll bring 

• Manage customer accounts, monitor receivables, and follow up on overdue invoices
• Perform credit checks, assess risk, and maintain customer credit limits
• Drive collections activities and negotiate payment plans with customers
• Allocate incoming payments and maintain accurate AR records
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies or disputes
• Support month-end closing activities and reporting
• Monitor AR KPIs (e.g., aging, DSO) and provide insights
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to resolve issues
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and processes
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
