Introduction:
Metso are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the team at our Henderson workshop on a Monday - Friday basis for 38 hours per week. This is a Perth based role within our service facility.
What You'll Do:

Attend daily prestart meetings and contribute in a positive way to drive production efficiencies.

Work closely with workshop Leading Hand and Workshop Supervisor to ensure deadlines can be met.

Assist co-workers to undertake strip and assess and then rebuild of Metso fixed plant equipment including crushers, crusher components, screens and screen parts, gearboxes, conveyor pulleys and drives, hydraulic units, rail car and dumper components.

Component refurbishment and service activities relating to Metso OEM Equipment components, complete machines and spare parts.

Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives proactively working with the Workshop Supervisor and Workshop Leading Hand.

Responsible in the delivery of on-the-job training to Apprentices and other team members.

Responsible for assisting in mechanical repairs, component refurbishment and service activities relation to Metso OEM Equipment components, complete machines and spare parts.

Maintain a clean and tidy workshop.

Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives proactively working with the Leading Hand and Workshop Supervisor.

Assist in the investigation of customer queries regarding quality, tolerances, specifications and delivered condition of products.

Work closely with all colleagues regarding production quality assurance, job progress and status.

Maintain and empower colleagues to stop working if there is an uncontrolled risk to themselves and or team.
About you:
-
Relevant Trade Certificate.
-
Current WA Drivers licence.
-
Good communication skills.
-
Workshop experience working on OEM equipment.
-
Experience in machining small and large parts to tight tolerances.
-
Dogman Certificate.
-
Forklift Certificate would be ideal.
