We are seeking for a Repairs Coordinator to join our team in Henderson.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Liaise with customers, Superintendent and/or sub-contractors in regard to jobs arriving for repair.
  • Create and issue work packs to internal workshops or vendors to strip and assess items
  • Obtain relevant drawings and technical information and develop repair scopes of work.
  • Create cost estimates and detailed customer proposals
  • Undertake planning and scheduling activities in conjunction with the relevant team members and external teams/vendors.
  • Issue job packs with repair scopes of work and drawings to internal workshops and to sub-contractors under the Metso 'Document control' system.
  • Maintain the team job register to the required standards in a timely fashion
  • Answer technical queries from the workshops and vendors and advise on repair methods
  • Conduct QA /QC inspections, ensuring all repairs are to Metso standards, liaising with Engineering and product support as necessary.
  • Inspect all jobs prior to dispatch and sign off relevant documentation
  • Create Manufacturers Date Records (MDRs) for each job
  • Review the profit margin achieved for each job
  • Be an active team member during team meetings
  • Attend customer meetings, update on job progress and answer technical queries
  • Maintain continual communication with customers, verbally, through emails, via work in progress reports and in meetings
  • Investigate all negative customer feedback, put in place corrective actions to prevent a reoccurrence and respond appropriately to the customer

 

To be successful in this role you will need:

Essential

  • 5 years Repairs experience and associated skills – this could be in a similar position or someone with a trade certificate
  • Customer liaison skills
  • Planning and scheduling skills

Desirable

  • Metso product experience
  • QA/QC auditing experience
  • Welding / Machining / Fitting knowledge
