The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Field Service Manager, West to lead our field service operations across Western Australia. This leadership role is responsible for driving safe, efficient and profitable field service delivery while ensuring exceptional customer outcomes.
Reporting to the Director, Service Operations - Australia, you will work closely with Repairs Managers, Site Account Managers, Technical Specialists, Project Teams and key customer stakeholders to deliver maintenance, shutdown, rebuild and service activities across multiple sites and customers.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong operational leadership, commercial acumen and the ability to build trusted relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Due to operational requirements this role can be based at either our Bayswater or Henderson facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Field Service Supervisors and Technicians.
- Drive a strong safety culture with a focus on Zero Harm.
- Ensure field service activities are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to customer expectations.
- Collaborate closely with Repairs Managers to ensure seamless execution between workshop and field service activities.
- Partner with Site Account Managers, and Business Development Managers to identify opportunities for service growth and improved customer value.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, site leadership teams and key decision makers.
- Support planning and execution of shutdowns, breakdown response and major maintenance activities.
- Monitor and improve service delivery performance, resource utilisation and operational efficiency.
- Manage workforce planning, capability development and succession planning within the field service team.
- Drive accountability for service quality, reporting, compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to business growth through identification of new opportunities and support of commercial initiatives.
- Support contract performance, KPI achievement and continuous improvement programs.
About You
You are an engaging and hands-on leader with a proven track record managing field service operations in mining, heavy industry, manufacturing or a related sector.
You will bring:
- Significant experience leading field service or maintenance teams.
- Strong understanding of mobile maintenance, fixed plant maintenance, shutdowns or asset management.
- Experience managing customer relationships in a service environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Repairs Managers, Account Managers, Business Development Managers and operational teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of margins, productivity and contract performance.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts and resource planning.
- Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
- A strong commitment to safety leadership and operational excellence.
- Proven ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement.
- Relevant trade, technical or engineering qualification preferred.
