Job Statement:

Metso is seeking a dynamic and experienced Pump Sales Manager to lead our Pumps Department located in Almaty. The successful candidate will be fully responsible for Metso operations in the assigned territory (Central Asia), managing the pump department, developing business through selling mining pumps equipment, spares, and services, and ensuring compliance with Metso policies and procedures.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan the annual sales and cost budget of the department, including a detailed strategy for achieving the declared budgets (action plan).
  • Ensure the implementation of the sales plan, monitor progress quarterly, and report to senior management.
  • Develop and implement new marketing strategies for products.
  • Develop pump services, including inventory planning, workshop repair activities, trials, and test programs.
  • Maintain and grow market share and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage operational dealers within the assigned territory.
  • Ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
  • Oversee the quality management of CRM systems by subordinates.
  • Design department structure.
  • Set targets, agree on development plans, and regularly check team performance.
  • Motivate the team to achieve better results, and participate directly in sales if necessary.
  • Ensure effective communication and business processes, both internal and external.
  • Ensure required HSE activities and KPIs are met.
  • Control personnel turnover in the department.
  • Ensure 100% compliance in all department operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Relevant background in managing B2B technical sales in mining. Good knowledge of slurry pumps equipment will be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills; business acumen.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Native (or very fluent) Russian, fluent English, Kazakh language is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of working time.
