Network Service Delivery Manager – APAC

Introduction

We are looking for a Network Service Delivery Manager – APAC to join our Network Service Delivery team in Information Technology. In this role, you will ensure reliable, secure, cost-effective and business-aligned network services across the Asia-Pacific region. You will be the regional link between business stakeholders, Country IT teams, Global Network, Architecture, Information Security, project teams and external service providers, and you will make sure regional needs – including offices, manufacturing plants and service locations – are well represented in our global network operating model.

This role is based in Gurugram, India, and includes regional travel as required.

Team you will belong to

You will join our Network Service Delivery community, working closely with the Network Service Delivery Team Lead and regional service delivery managers to keep ways of working and service delivery practices consistent across regions. We collaborate with Country IT teams, global network service owners, Information Security, Procurement, Finance and external service providers. Our work spans APAC time zones and includes participation in agreed major-incident escalation and planned maintenance arrangements.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee the delivery and performance of network services across APAC sites, including local and wireless networks, software-defined WAN (SD-WAN), internet connectivity and secure remote access, aligning resilience with global site criticality standards.
  • Manage service performance against agreed service-level and operational-level agreements, working with internal teams and service providers to maintain availability, capacity and readiness.
  • Act as the regional escalation point for critical network incidents, coordinating restoration, stakeholder communication, root-cause analysis and corrective actions, and govern network changes and resilience testing.
  • Serve as the regional focal point for network demand, ensuring business and site requirements are documented, prioritized and progressed with Country IT, Global Network, Architecture, Information Security, Operational Technology (OT) and project teams, in line with global standards and approved designs, including IT/OT network segmentation where applicable.
  • Represent APAC priorities in global network service, governance and roadmap discussions, and drive regional improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate service provider relationships, monitor supplier performance and escalations, and partner with Procurement, Global Service Owners and Country IT Managers on service requirements, renewals, budgets, costs and cost optimization.
  • Coordinate network needs for new site setups, expansions, relocations, closures and integrations of acquired businesses, and communicate service performance, risks, outages and decisions clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure new or changed network services move into operations with accurate service records, monitoring and documentation, and drive improvements in monitoring, reporting, automation and operational analytics.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Network Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Typically 8–10 years of experience in enterprise network services, infrastructure operations or IT service management, including service delivery, vendor management or regional coordination across multiple countries.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise networking, including local and wireless networks, SD-WAN, internet connectivity, routing, VPNs, IT/OT network segmentation, high-availability architectures and network security fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated experience managing service-level agreements, major incidents, problem resolution, service transitions and supplier performance.
  • Strong stakeholder management, analytical, communication and commercial skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
  • ITIL Foundation certification or higher, or other relevant networking, infrastructure or IT service management certifications (nice to have).
  • Experience managing network services in a global, multi-vendor environment, ideally in manufacturing, industrial, mining or other operationally critical multi-site settings, and experience within APAC (nice to have).
  • Familiarity with enterprise SD-WAN, switching, wireless and network monitoring platforms such as Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN, HPE Aruba or SolarWinds, or equivalent (nice to have).

What’s in it for you

At Metso, you will combine meaningful work with opportunities to learn, grow, and make an impact in a supportive and inclusive environment. You’ll be part of a global team where collaboration, wellbeing, and continuous learning are part of everyday work.
