Assistant Manager, Engineering, Project Delivery, MA MEI

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience in mineral processing equipment i.e. size reduction (Crushers, Grinding Mills), Dewatering (Thickeners, Filters), Gravity separation (Cyclones, Spiral classifier), Magnetic Separation (Low, Medium & High Intensity), Flotation cells, Slurry pumps etc.
  • Experience in the field of basic and detail design in mineral processing plant and equipment  (Iron ore, Lead-Zinc, Copper, Precious metals, Coal washeries etc). 
  • Preparation of Process design Basis, Mass Balance, Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrumentation diagrams and selection of suitable material of construction.
  • Preparation of bought out equipment data sheets, Assist/evaluation of sizing and selection of equipment. Assist with process inputs for piping, valves, electrical and instrumentation.
  • Assist in Plant layouts, sectional drawings and floor plans with load details; GA and manufacturing drawings; technological & support structures; Piping routing in 2D and 3D tools.
  • Executing commissioning activities at various stages like, pre-commissioning, cold & hot commissioning, capacity ramp up and performance testing.
  • Process stabilisation at customer site, Participating in Performance guarantees tests, technical warranty claim or customer complain handling.
  • Ensure that the work complies with relevant specification/standards, tolerances and ensure the material of constructions for the service and good for intended application.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety requirements and design standards (Indian, European, America and International) & codes.
  • Knowledge/exposure to material handling i.e. conveyor, feeders, silo/stockpile design; Utility system i.e. water, compressor air etc.
  • Collaborate and partner with internal departments including Project, Proposal, Procurement, Field Service etc. Oversee improvement of engineering tools & data base.  
  • Support and ensure optimum scheduling for engineering, attend review meetings, and provide necessary reporting on a regular basis. 
  • Resolve engineering problems and concerns and work closely with client representatives to ensure problem resolution, give timely feedback, taking actions on eventual deviations.
  • Ensure engineering tasks are delivered on time, on cost and on the quality and performance.

 

RELATIONSHIPS & AUTHORITY

  • Reporting to Engineering Manager.
  • Base location Gurugram

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mineral Processing Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 6 to 10 years’ experience in engineering in similar industry/equipment.
  • Experience in design and commissioning of large LSTK, EPC and EPCM packages.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products, latest engineering tools.
