We are seeking a Proposals Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete proposal management of vibrating equipment.

This position supports the regional development of Africa screening. It includes the technical support of the sales team by providing the necessary drawings, data sheets and the preparation of customer-specific quotations.

The creation and upkeep of a standard price list for an agreed number of products is critical in this role.

Furthermore, the support of the local production facilities is one of the tasks to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.

In this position, you will report to the Vice President, Central Region, Screening Business line.

This position is mainly based in Germiston, Gauteng

TEAM YOU WILL BELONG TO

You will join our team of Engineers and work closely with internal and external stakeholders such as the Engineering Team and the Supply & Sales Team to establish the best processes and ensure these processes are aligned with other teams around the world.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Receive and develop customer RFQ’s
• Support in Applications and machine selection
• Present and justify proposals to internal and external stakeholders
• Actively work to improve proposal tools and templates across the business line and other stakeholder organizations
• Support market area on site and in meetings as required
• African price list creation and management

WHO YOU ARE

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor’s Degree​

• Experience in engineering and drawings related roles
• Screening process experience
• Proficient in reading and speaking English at a professional level

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Building Proposals and Cost Estimates
• Leading a specialised team of experts
• Willing to actively engage in problem solving
• Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and organizing, prioritizing tasks, and working in a fast-paced environment
• Skills need to include building internal relationships, negotiation skills and understanding of customer needs and market requirements
• A high level of computer skills is essential – Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Sales Force
• Willing to travelling to sites for meetings as required
