Introduction 


As Vice President of the Filtration Business Line at Metso, you will be responsible for the performance and growth of our filtration equipment and solutions business. You will lead a great global team and manage business performance, product offering and development, in-house manufacturing, supply chain operations, and business development. You will contribute to Metso’s success by ensuring we develop and deliver high-quality products and services to our customers. 

 

Your role is to lead the Filtration Business Line in its next phase of growth, with a strong focus on profitability. You will have the opportunity to leverage your experience in business transformation, strategic thinking and change management to take the business to the next level in alignment with the Metso strategy. Collaboration with the aftermarket colleagues, Minerals Business Lines and Market Areas is crucial for success.

 

The preferred location for this role is Espoo or Lappeenranta, Finland, though we offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. 

 

The team you belong to 

 

The Filtration Business Line is part of the Minerals Business Area. You’ll lead an organization of over 300 professionals globally. You will report to Piia Karhu, President of the Minerals Business Area, and be a member of the Minerals Business Area leadership team. 

 

What you’ll do 

 

  • Lead the Filtration Business Line with profit and loss responsibility.
  • Define and execute the Filtration Business Line strategy, in alignment with the Metso Minerals segment strategy.
  • Set the commercial framework for our products and solutions.
  • Oversee filters manufacturing in Lappeenranta, Finland, and Suzhou, China, as well as the global supply chain and product quality.
  • Drive the research and development agenda, including innovation and new product development as well as continuous product improvement.
  • Manage and develop a global team of over 300 professionals, primarily located in Finland, China, and India.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Metso’s Business Areas and market areas to maximize growth, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. 

 

Who you are 

 

  • Strong track record in delivering business results in a global industrial company.
  • Experienced in leading strategy renewal, growth and profitability transformation in international businesses.
  • Capable of building long-lasting and value-adding customer relationships.
  • Capable of driving product and solutions development using technology, digital tools, and customer insights.
  • Previous experience in leading manufacturing operations.
  • Passion for building high-performing, collaborative teams across different cultures.
  • Hands-on approach to working in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A relevant academic background in engineering, business, or a related field.
