Introduction
As a Summer Trainee – Manufacturing Engineering, you will actively support our manufacturing excellence and development projects through a variety of design and assistive tasks, including:
- Design and documentation activities, such as creating or updating specifications, preparing technical engineering documentation, and assisting in project execution.
- Contributing to process development, including manufacturing process design, simulation, improvement, and standardization initiatives.
- Organizing and preparing materials, such as project documentation and training resources to enable effective implementation and knowledge sharing.
Your role plays a part in project engineering, which will contribute to positively impact to reach our strategic goals. In this position, you will report to Director, Manufacturing Engineering.
Who you are
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial, Mechanical, or Automation Engineering) with at least 50% of studies completed, or a recent graduate with an equivalent technical degree.
- Technical aptitude; some understanding and experience of product manufacturing and work processes.
- General computer proficiency and Microsoft Office 365 experience.
- Data and analytics competence and experience is seen as an asset.
- Engineering systems (CAD, PDM) is seen as an asset.
- Lean manufacturing and statistics competence and experience is seen as an asset.
- Proactive, customer-focused and solution-oriented with a strong drive for results.
- Collaborative team player, open to sharing ideas and feedback.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present ideas clearly in writing and speech.
- Full proficiency in English and local language in question.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2130-2970 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.
Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
