We are looking for a Trade Compliance Manager to join our Trade Compliance team. Trade Compliance team is supporting group-wide customs and export control matters. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing received customs data, proposing cost saving opportunities based on the data, enhancing used systems and reporting tools as well as interpreting customs regulations. You will report to the Director, Trade Compliance.
This role is based in Finland either in Espoo, Lappeenranta or Tampere, with hybrid working options available.
Team you will belong to
You will join a team of fourteen professionals focused on customs and export control matters. Our team plays a key role in ensuring Metso complies in its processes and procedures with domestic and international trade rules, regulations, and laws. We collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll do
As a Trade Compliance Manager, you are responsible for
- analyzing customs data globally
- interpreting customs and free trade agreement regulations
- participating in trade compliance related process development projects
- system development for trade compliance creating processes, Standard Operating Procedures, and guidelines
- coaching, training, and support for Trade Compliance matters
What you’ll bring
- Approx. 5+ years’ experience in international trade and/or logistics and a relevant master’s or bachelor’s degree in business supply chain/Logistics, Legal or other related discipline
- Knowledge and capability to interpret international trade compliance rules and regulations and transfer them into requirements to business processes
- Proactive way of working, capable of independent work and problem-solving mindset in complex situations.
- Curious mind; you enjoy project management, and you understand designing and managing trade compliance processes and systems
- Excellent communication skills in Finnish and in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are considered beneficial
- Excellent influencing and persuading skills and the ability to establish and maintain networks
