We are seeking a Technology Manager in Minerals Processing Solutions to Concentrator Plant Technologies Team.

 

 

The main purpose of this role is to deliver the most competitive techno-economic solution in Concentrator plant & Plant unit sales and delivery projects to enable profitable growth of the Minerals BA of Metso.


 
Your office location will ideally be in Espoo, Finland. To be effective in this position, you will also be expected to spend time travelling and meeting our customers and other stakeholders.

 


 
 What you’ll do

 

•    Act as the technology lead in different projects: e.g., scoping and feasibility studies, basic engineering, and sales projects
•    Develop process solutions for concentrator projects, including flow sheets on an expert level;
•    Model and simulate entire concentrator plant process and process equipment configuration;
•    Plan, supervise, and interpret minerals processing flowsheet development test works;
•    Ensure the inclusion and position of Metso key products and technologies in minerals processing solutions
•    Identify, mitigate, and manage metallurgical risks in both sales and delivery phases of the projects
•    Define and promote, in close collaboration with the Minerals Business Lines, minerals processing solutions that maximize customer value.
•    Take lead in concentrator plant commissionings and start-ups;
•    Lead and execute process audits, circuit surveys, trouble shootings, and process optimizations
•    Act as a mentor / team lead for younger colleagues


 
 
Who you are

 


•    Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in minerals processing/chemical engineering/metallurgy or similar ;
•    Preferably 15+ years of experience in the minerals processing industry, with proven expertise in process and plant design, operations, commissioning, ramp-up, and optimization of minerals processing plants and products.
•    Strong theoretical and practical understanding of minerals processing, including comminution, flotation, physical separation, dewatering, and process control
•    Experience in minerals process simulation & design software tools (e.g., HSC Chemistry) for concentrator plant design;
•    Strong and proactive teamwork skills in an international multi-location organization;
•    To be willing to travel abroad for both short and long-term assignments;
•    Fluent written and spoken English skills. Other major language skills (e.g., Portuguese/Spanish) are seen as an advantage.
