Introduction
We are now looking for a Supply Chain Sustainability Manager to join our sustainability team at Metso! This is a great opportunity to learn more about our business and act as an ambassador on our sustainability journey. In this position, you will report to the Head of Sustainability.
This position is preferably located in Espoo, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

What you do
- Lead supply chain sustainability working group to establish and improve processes to comply with the current and upcoming regulations (EUDR, CSDDD etc.)
- Coordinate and participate in other working groups e.g. around regulatory requirements to suppliers to develop a group-wide process and obtaining supplier information across Business Areas
- Develop supplier sustainability aspect of Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) e.g. better communication internally on priorities in supplier selection and upkeep; better utilization of supplier sustainability audit findings, etc.
- Act as a main driver of sustainable supply chain management topics in close cooperation with procurement
- Collaborate and build relationships with various stakeholders such as procurement, product quality, IT, legal and compliance, finance, R&D, etc.
Who you are
- A relevant university degree (required)
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English. Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
- Previous work experience in supply chain sustainability is seen as an asset
- Understanding of requirements of different regulations such as EUDR, CSDDD etc. is seen as an advantage
- Understanding of sustainability (environmental, economic and social) topics required
- Strong project management skills with an ability to influence and direct people who don’t report to you
- Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization
- Ability to build relationships and trust. This role requires getting employees and contractors to complete tasks on time, even if they don't report to you.
- To be effective from the start, it's beneficial to have a strong understanding of the Metso business and operations
- Ability to work under pressure and in an international context.
