Do you enjoy working with data, paying attention to details, and solving complex problems?

We’re looking for a Summer Trainee to join our Trade Compliance team in the Services Business Area. In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting the U.S. duty drawback process and filings, helping Metso recover duties efficiently and accurately. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in international trade compliance and learn how global regulations impact business operations.

 
What you do

 

  • Collect and organize import and export documentation by using digital tools
  • Validate customs documents and the correctness of the collected data for compliance
  • Key in shipment related information to an excel
  • Manage critical data to ensure smooth and timely duty drawback filing
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams internally and externally

 

Who you are

 

  • You’re comfortable handling repetitive data tasks with focus and consistency
  • You are interested in global trade, with a motivated, open-minded attitude and a strong willingness to learn and grow.
  • Collaborative team player who can also take ownership and work independently on assigned tasks.
  • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal English
  • Educational background or personal interest in engineering, international trade, or related fields is preferred
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Familiarity with SAP is a plus, but not required

The location for this position is either in Espoo or Tampere.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2130-2970 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.

 

Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
