As a Summer Trainee – Safety, you will:

• Work in interesting global improvement projects to take safety to next level. Work will include e.g. defining and developing content, collecting data, and performing analysis based on project needs.
• Actively engage in monitoring and communicating of safety initiatives to ensure transparency, alignment, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with a global team of safety professionals and Metso operations stakeholders to support Metso’s commitment to health and safety in the mining and aggregates industries.
• Participate in projects and tasks aimed at advancing Metso’s safety objectives and creating meaningful impacts.

Who you are

• A higher degree of study background in fields such as engineering, economics, safety, or equivalent.
• A positive and proactive can-do mindset with a strong work ethic.
• Eagerness to learn, develop, and succeed in the role.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good written and spoken English skills.
• An ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, and drive them proactively.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2310-2970 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.

Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
