As a Summer Trainee in our Global Vendor Purchasing team located in Espoo, you will:
- Collaborate with colleagues in supply chain management.
- Execute Purchase Orders within the global vendor base.
- Provide operational support to internal stakeholders.
- Conflict resolution with supply base to accommodate customer requirements.
- Expediting to maintain on time delivery.
- Reporting and assistance to Sr. Global Vendor Purchaser as needed.
Who you are
- A higher degree study background in fields such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Process Technology, Metallurgy, Metals Processing, Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Materials, Process), Automation, IT, Industrial Engineering and Management, Customer Experience (CX), Customer Data Management, Legal, Finance, etc.
- A positive and proactive can-do mindset with a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, develop, and succeed in the role.
- A customer-focused and innovative mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
- Basic knowledge in SAP, Basware, PowerBI, Jira, Miro, Figma, Confluence, 3D-modeling, CAD design tools (Microstation/Autocad, SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, ENOVIA), SQL, Python, Azure, Salesforce, MS Dynamics is seen as an advantage.
- Fluent written and spoken skills in English.

You will have great opportunities to develop your expertise by learning how to execute Purchase Orders, manage global supply and impact the Global Purchasing KPI’s. This team works with a broad vendor base around the world, supporting our customers from all over in several Business Areas. You will purchase and maintain orders that go to mining, recycling and bulk handling sites. Many of our summer trainees continue their employment with us part-time, full-time, or with their thesis after the summer.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2065-2875 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.
Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
