Looking for a challenging and fun work experience?! As a Summer Trainee – Mechanical Engineering, Grinding Mills, you will:​ 

• Support the delivery and product design team with various tasks such as
• 3D modelling (Solidworks, Inventor)
• Manufacturing and assembly drawings
• Creating product documentation and manuals
• Testing and prototyping by 3D printing
• Prep models for FEA work, perform analysis, and create a report
• Work with really nice colleagues and in a global team of industry's best engineers, designers, and state-of-the-art tools

Who you are

• Higher degree studies (bs.c or ms.c) in, for example, Mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, structural engineering, process technology, process metallurgy, materials sciences, etc.
• A positive and spontaneous can-do mindset and a proactive approach to work
• Positive attitude and great work ethic 
• Eagerness to learn more, develop, and succeed in the role.​
• A customer-focused and innovative mindset and problem-solving skills
• Interest in working with CAD tools and PDM/PLM systems
• An ability to work as part of a team, while also working independently on certain tasks.
• Good skills in MS Office tools
• Combined technical and business mindset 
• Ability to take ownership of the assigned tasks and projects and advance them proactively

An exciting position in the Grinding mill team of Metso Minerals Business Area. You will get a chance to work with professionals of the local Espoo team, where your team will support your growth. You will have great opportunities to develop your expertise by learning how to design large cast/welded/machined parts and assemblies, work with FEA analysis, hydraulic design, and do other interesting work tasks! Many of our summer trainees continue their employment with us part-time, full-time, or with their thesis after the summer.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2130-2970 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.
