The Flotation Product Group provides global technical sales support to Metso’s flotation products and technologies. In November 2021, Metso launched the Concorde Cell, a new flotation technology that sets a new benchmark in high-intensity pneumatic flotation by recovering unachievable fine and ultrafine particles. This results in significant revenue gains for processing operations, and minimizes plant operating costs, energy and water consumption per metal production targets.

As a Summer Trainee – Flotation Product Group, Espoo you will:  

• Learn to create mineral processing flowsheets with industry-standard HSC Chemistry software
• Work with one of Metso’s latest flotation innovations, the ConcordeCell
• Provide an in-depth review of the Concorde Cell froth system design at an industrial scale and compare it to existing studies in flotation research

Who you are

• A higher degree study background in Process Technology, Process Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Geometallurgy. 
• A positive and proactive can-do mindset with a strong work ethic.
• Eagerness to learn, develop, and succeed in the role.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to  take ownership of the assigned tasks and projects and drive them proactively
• Fluent written and spoken skills in English.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2065-2875 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.

Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
