We are seeking Summer Trainees (2) to join Metso Minerals Digital Organization. You will be part of defining, testing, and/or developing features for a new version of Metso's own HSC Chemistry process simulation and calculation software. Your role plays a crucial part in the development, which will positively impact Metso's process simulation capabilities as well as the digital products we offer to our customers. As a Summer Trainee in HSC development, you will
- Develop new process modeling software features, or improve the old ones with the .NET framework using C# as the main language
- Test new features and update the documentation
- Develop mineral processing, physical, chemical or metallurgical calculation routines for the backend
Who you are
- A relevant study background in one of the following: software development, minerals processing, metallurgy, chemistry, physics, or process technology
- Some knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language
- A positive can-do mindset and a proactive approach to work
- Eagerness to learn more, develop, and succeed
- An ability to work as part of a team with various backgrounds, while also working independently on certain tasks
- Good communication skills in English

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2065-2875 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.
Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
