Introduction

As a Summer Trainee, Data & AI, you will:​ 

• Apply the latest technologies to drive internal and customer benefits with data & AI solutions
• Depending on your role, implement generative AI as part of knowledge management practices, gather equipment data and develop predictive algorithms to predict wear and failures, or analyze our sales, supply chain and service operations data to create understanding what drives business performance
• Daily work with modern cloud databases, analytics and AI toolsStart off by working and learning as a part of the team, but during the summer you’ll get the opportunity to individually execute and try out things as well.

Who you are

• You are studying natural sciences, software engineering, process technology or similar field, and have an interest in applying your skills for solving real world business problems
• You have familiarity with basics of data & AI technology stack and eagerness for learning more. Depending on your role basic level of SQL, Python, .NET, TypeScript or React is good starting point.
• A positive and proactive can-do mindset with a strong work ethic.
• You are proud of your work and want to ensure that what you do you achieve with high standards of quality
• Eagerness to learn, develop, and succeed in the role.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• You are fluent in English. Other languages such as, Finnish, Spanish and others are an asset.

An exciting position in the Minerals business segment Digital unit’s Data & AI team serving our Minerals, Services and Consumables Business Areas. You will get a chance to work with professionals of the local product, technology & customer teams, where your colleagues will support your growth. You will have great opportunities to develop your expertise by learning how to run an end-to-end product creation cycle related to data & AI technology. Many of our summer trainees continue their employment with us part-time, full-time, or with their thesis after the summer.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2130-2970 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.

Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
