As a Summer Trainee – Coaching, Lean Portfolio Management, Espoo/Tampere, you will collaborate closely with our agile coaches, assisting them in improving our ways of working and coaching our people. The exact role will be tailored to fit your expectations and skills, with a focus on the following areas:
- Agile Team Support
- Assist in facilitating agile ceremonies and events
- Help maintain and update team assets, like task boards.
- Continuous Improvement
- Help gather feedback
- Conduct surveys and research on best practices.
- Tool management
- Learn and assist in the management of Agile tools.
- Documentation
- Document our processes, ways-of-working agreements, and training materials
- Enhance our onboarding materials for newcomers.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Observe and support team members in identifying communication gaps.
- Example: Provide essential maintenance and operational support to customers, focusing mainly on Filter applications.
Who you are
- Higher degree study background in fields such as software engineering, IT, or business administration.
- Eagerness to learn, develop, and succeed in the role.
- A human-focused and innovative mindset with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge in Office tools and Atlassian tools, such as Jira. Familiarity with other team tools, such as Miro, is a plus.
- Good written and spoken skills in English.

You will have the opportunity to work with professionals from the Lean Portfolio Management team, who will support your growth. You will gain valuable experience in helping agile teams in an international IT organization. The Metso Agile Coach Team comprises agile professionals who work at different levels of the organization, helping Metso's business succeed through coaching, continuous improvement, and culture transformation. Many of our summer trainees continue their employment with us part-time, full-time, or with their thesis after the summer.

Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad.
