Introduction

 

We are seeking a Sourcing Manager or Specialist, Corporate Categories to join our indirect procurement team. You will be responsible sourcing in Metso Corporate Functions, looking after categories like Communications, Marketing, people, Advisory and IT Commodity. Your role contributes positively to Metso’s sustainability, growth and profitability targets. In this position, you will report to VP of Corporate Procurement. 

 

This position is preferably located in Espoo, due to the proximity of key stakeholders. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. The work involves some travel.  

 

Team you belong to 

 

You will join Metso Corporate procurement team, which manages Metso indirect spend, drives process optimization and IT platforms, and develops supplier sustainability and quality.  

 
We work closely with the stakeholders, in this role specifically Group functions: Global HR, CFO Office, Legal and Business Growth functions. We also boost the co-operation across Business Areas and Markets. The members of our extended team are located in all continents.  

 

What you’ll do 

 

  • Develop transparency and understanding of Indirect spend and contract status, as well as value chain, cost drivers and market dynamics for the Corporate spend and relevant categories globally.  
  • Translate business requirements and market changes into prioritized opportunities, category strategies, and roadmaps aligned with global goals. 
  • Drive tenders and negotiations, as well as other cost improvement initiatives. 
  • Manage key supplier relationships. 
  • Develop contractual and risk management maturity. 
  • Manage and develop Indirect Procurement performance and monitoring. 
  • Represent Indirect Procurement in HQ/Corporate, and be an active member of the indirect category network globally. 
  • Ensure Procurement's early involvement in relevant decisions with close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including stakeholder education, and ensure alignment between local teams, global Category Managers, Global Functions, Market Area, and Business Areas.

  • Analytical and strategic planning skills. 
  • Process development mindset, Source to Pay 
  • Full working proficiency in English, Finnish is an asset.
