We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to join Metso's Service Technology & Products team. Your work will help ensure that our digital solutions deliver a seamless, reliable experience for employees, partners, and customers across Metso's aftermarket service operations.

 

You will work closely with product owners, developers, solution architects, business stakeholders, and end users, helping us deliver high-quality software that creates real value for our service operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical testing expertise with business understanding in an agile development environment.

 

The location for this role can be either Espoo, Finland, or Krakow, Poland.

 

 

The team you belong to

 

You will join the Service Technology & Products (STP) unit, a global team responsible for the development and support of digital solutions used across Metso's service business.

Our team develops and maintains solutions supporting:

 

  • Field Service Management
  • Repairs Management
  • Digital tools & Applications
  • Reliability Engineering Systems
  • Emerging AI-enabled service technologies

 

You will work in a collaborative international environment with colleagues located across multiple countries and time zones, contributing directly to products that are used by service professionals every day.

 

What you'll do

 

  • Plan, design, and execute test cases for new features, enhancements, and product releases.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects while supporting their resolution.
  • Help improve quality assurance processes, testing standards, and best practices.
  • Support release validation and production readiness activities.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to test automation initiatives and continuous improvement of our quality practices.

 

Who you are

 

 

  • Experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or a similar role.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles and agile ways of working.
  • Experience creating and executing structured test plans and test cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cloud-based business applications, enterprise systems, or digital platforms.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

 

The following would be considered an advantage:

 

  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure, Dynamics 365, or related enterprise technologies.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, asset management, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with API testing and integration testing.
