Salary range: 5,000–6,000 €/month (the final offer will depend on the skills and experience demonstrated during the interviews)

Introduction

 

Are you ready to be part of a world-class IT team in a future Tier-1 company? We’re excited to offer a great opportunity to join Metso as our new Service Manager for Enterprise Networks.

In this global role, you will take end-to-end ownership of Metso’s Enterprise Network services. You will ensure operational excellence while driving development and continuous improvement through Agile methodologies. Working closely with both internal and external stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Metso’s network services.

 

Security is at the heart of this position. You’ll be responsible for implementing and maintaining security best practices and ensuring our global network remains secure. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead service design, architecture, and management in collaboration with engineers and partners.

 

The Team You’ll Join

 

You’ll be part of a team of network services professionals and report directly to Tommi Loponen, Head of Network Services. While you won’t have direct reports, you will influence cross-functional teams and collaborate with global stakeholders in a matrixed environment. Our network spans 51 countries and up to 150 locations.

 

What You’ll Do

 

As Service Manager, you’ll lead the delivery, development, and management of our Networking Services, with a strong focus on network security. You’ll also manage relationships with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders throughout the service lifecycle.

Service & Technology Strategy
•    Network Services Portfolio management, including the pipeline, operational Service Catalog, and service and technology retirement activities.
•    Network Security Services Demand, Capacity, and Availability management.
Service & Technology Design
•    Ensuring Network Services architecture and technologies are fit for purpose, optimally designed, developed, and improved, while aligning with Metso’s goals and industry best practices. 
Service & Technology Transition
•    Ensuring new Network Services technologies and services, as well as changes to existing services, are transitioned into production in a controlled manner, following Metso's project management methodologies and minimizing risk to the business and its operations.
•    Ensuring that Network Services assets and configurations are properly managed (Service Asset and Configuration Management) and documented.
Service Operations
•    Ensuring the success of Network Services: Incident, Event, Problem, Change, Knowledge Management, and Request Fulfillment activities.
•    Ensuring agreed service levels and quality for all Network Services are maintained.
•    Ensuring the end-to-end security of Network Services configurations and environments.
Continuous Service Improvement
•    Ensuring all Network Security Services are fit for purpose and running optimally.
•    Ensuring all Network Security Services meet the agreed security policies and practices.

Who You Are

•    A broad understanding of Network services, such as SDWAN, SSE/SASE, and Firewalls.
•    Strong understanding of practical security measures and IT Security principles, particularly in the network domain.
•    At least 5-8 years’ experience in various IT infrastructure, network, or security roles.
•    You can demonstrate a strong grasp of network security risks and how to manage them effectively.
•    Good understanding of ITIL and other infrastructure-related frameworks and best practices.
•    Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is seen as an advantage.
•    You are fluent in both written and spoken English
