Introduction
Are you ready to join a world-class IT team in a future Tier-1 company? Metso is looking for a Service Manager, Cloud Security, to take end-to-end ownership of our Cloud Security services. We leverage cloud and modern solutions extensively across all organizational levels. In this global role, you’ll ensure operational excellence while driving development and continuous improvement through Agile methodologies.
This is a brand-new position, offering a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to shape Metso’s cloud security posture and keep our global cloud environments secure. You’ll lead service design, architecture, and management in collaboration with engineers and partners. The role reports to Matthew Buchanan, Head of Cloud Platform Services. While you won’t have direct reports, you’ll influence cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed environment. The position is based in Espoo with flexible hybrid working options.

What You’ll Do
As Service Manager, you’ll lead the delivery, development, and management of Cloud Security Services, focusing on securing infrastructure and services. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategy & Design: Manage the Cloud Security Services portfolio and ensure architecture aligns with business goals and best practices.
- Transition: Oversee controlled implementation of new services and technologies, ensuring proper configuration and documentation.
- Operations: Drive incident, problem, change, and knowledge management, maintaining agreed service levels and security standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Optimize services and ensure compliance with security policies.
Who You Are
A motivated, responsible, and self-driven professional with excellent communication skills and full proficiency in English. You take initiative, work proactively under pressure, and thrive in collaboration. Your background includes:
- 5–8 years in IT infrastructure, cloud, or security roles.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Security products (M365, Defender Suite, etc.).
- Solid understanding of Azure security controls and architecture; AWS/GCP experience is a plus.
- Expertise in IT security principles and cloud security risk management.
- Possessing relevant security certification(s) is a benefit.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure and cloud security risks, with a proven ability to manage them effectively.
- Familiarity with ITIL and Agile methodologies; security certifications are an advantage.
