Introduction
Join a team that is redefining technical excellence in customer support! We are now looking for a Senior Manager, Technical Sales Support, Flotation, Thickening & Hydrometallurgy to lead our global technology support team within the Beneficiation, Dewatering and Hydrometallurgy (BDH) Business Line. This is a key role in ensuring our technical support operations are systematic, reliable, and aligned with our commitment to superior customer experience. You are expected to provide and maintain technology expertise by ensuring competent resources and efficient utilization of best practices within technical support. In this position, you will report to Director, Product Technical Support, located in Canada.
The primary location for this position is Espoo, Finland, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
Team you belong to
We work closely with multiple stakeholders, such as different Market Areas and global Technical Support teams. In this position, you will lead a global team of technology experts based in Finland and Australia, drive collaboration across regions, and ensure that technical and on-site support is delivered with excellence. What you do
- Lead and develop the global Technology Support team, managing competence and expertise within the Product Group’s scope
- Coordinate and investigate large-scale technical incidents
- Support for warranty claim investigations and quality development initiatives
- Collaborate with the Training Academy and Market Areas to ensure effective training materials creation and delivery
- Drive technical competence development across Market Areas and stakeholders
- Ensure close collaboration with LCS agreement development and execution
- Oversee the use and continuous improvement of technical support workflows
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge management systems (e.g., service instructions, resolution databases, fault statistics)
- Support Installation and Commissioning teams and customer on-site activities as needed
- Define proactive sales support strategies in collaboration with PCS and Product Groups
- Manage team performance and ensure compliance with QEHS standards
Who you are
- Master’s degree in Engineering or similar
- Proven leadership experience in engineering, field service, sales support or technical support or technical sales environments, including Flotation, Thickening and/or Hydrometallurgy
- Strong background in managing global teams and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience in technical training and knowledge management
- Professional proficiency in English (Finnish or Spanish language skills are considered an asset)
- Familiarity with QEHS practices and continuous improvement methodologies
