Introduction

 

We are seeking a Senior Manager, ETO Proposals to join our BDH Quotation Support team. You will be responsible for leading the activities of BDH ETO proposals team, which involves managing a team of proposal managers and supporting them in prioritizing and evaluating customer requests. The team you will be managing is responsible for creating ETO proposals for Flotation, Thickeners, Automation and Hydrometallurgy (FTAH) products. Your role plays a crucial part in evaluating pricing structures and sell guidelines, which will positively impact BDH business. In this position, you will report to VP, Quotation Support.

 

The preferred location for this role is Espoo, Finland however, other locations will also be considered, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements including hybrid options. This position involves occasional international traveling.

 

Your team works closely with internal stakeholders, especially local proposal managers, technical sales support, site account management, and product managers and engineers. You will ensure efficient and productive collaboration by building bridges and creating clarity. Your team members are in Espoo, Finland, Perth, Australia and York, the United States.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Own and drive continuous improvement programs around performance and service – improve workflow and methodology – within BL and cross BL/BA
  • Manage people-related topics regarding your team members
  • Actively interact with Product managers to understand and communicate product strategy/growth strategy to the team.
  • Liaise with Product Managers regarding sales materials, template updates and requirements, pricing strategies and price lists.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with Metso standards, policies and procedures as well as ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws.
  • Communicate with other BDH managers and stakeholders to make sure best practices are shared and developed.
  • Participate in developing new tools such as Tacton CPQ.
  • Create and periodically review and update internal work instructions, procedures and the like.

 

Who you are

 

  • You have Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in engineering or another relevant field
  • Previous experience in any of the FTAH (Flotation, Thickening, Automation and Hydro) products is beneficial
  • Experience in utilizing Salesforce or any CRM system and good computer skills especially with Windows tools
  • Previous experience in generating product pricing, reviewing customer inquiries, or designing custom solutions, is beneficial
  • Great communication skills, capable of articulating and communicating topics within your expertise to all organizational levels
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in engineering or related field, preferably with a few years in a leadership role
  • Previous experience with Tacton CPQ or other price configuration tools is beneficial
