We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Project Manager to the Digital Infrastructure and Cybersecurity team, Minerals segment digital. You will lead and coordinate cybersecurity initiatives and projects across the organization. This role involves managing multiple projects focused on enhancing our security posture, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks.


This is a brand-new position, offering a unique opportunity to bring up strong Project management and Cybersecurity experience to our existing team. You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to shape Metso’s Digital cyber security posture.  The role reports to Marko Parviainen, VP, Digital Infrastructure & Cybersecurity, Minerals segment digital.


While you won’t have direct reports, you’ll influence cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed environment. The position is based in Espoo with flexible hybrid working options.


What you'll Do

  • Plan, execute, and deliver cybersecurity projects on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with IT, compliance, legal, and business units to define project scope and objectives.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation including plans, schedules, and reports.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party security providers.
  • Track and report on project progress to stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Support incident response planning and execution as needed.
  • Project Lead possible ISO2700x and IEC 62443 certifications.




Who you are


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing cybersecurity projects and 10+ years of experience either cyber security or IT operations.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and technologies.
  • Familiarity with frameworks like NIST, FISMA, RMF, and cloud security.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and motivate others to adopt and implement security best practices.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure, cloud and software development security risks, with a proven ability to manage them effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preffered.
  • Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) is a plus.
  • IT management certifications (e.g. ITIL 3 or ITIL 4) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies is a plus.
