We are seeking a Safety Training Manager to join our Metso Academy team. You will be responsible for developing role-based training programs with engaging and efficient safety training materials to boost safety performance within Metso. Your job is also to ensure training format and delivery methods are optimized for different needs and target groups. 

 

This role can be located in any Metso office, but Espoo, Finland, is the preferred location. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. However, the role includes some travel to our manufacturing units, supplier facilities, Market Area offices and customer sites.

What you’ll do 

 

  • Drive safety competence development together with Global QEHS and other key stakeholders
  • Support training content development
  • Own role-based learning journeys and training programs for Safety in Metso
  • Operational management of safety training curriculums in Metso’s LMS
  • Provide systematic, fact-based KPI reporting to our stakeholders.
  • Cooperate with external safety training network and external vendors to ensure their seamless inclusion as part of training curriculums 

 

Who you are 

 

  • You have proficiency in QEHS, particularly safety
  • Have experience in creating high quality learning curriculums with focus on learner engagement
  • Have demonstrated capability for successfully managing complex training programs
  • Good communication skills and fluency in verbal and written English – required for content creation, internal and external reporting and stakeholder management.
  • Learning impact – Value the importance of measuring training and learning impact
  • People, Communication and Leadership Skills - Be able to build relationships and gain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Can do attitude & growth mindset - Always finding better ways to do things and remove roadblocks from achieving results.
