Introduction

 

Are you passionate about quality assurance and continuous improvement? Do you thrive in a collaborative, international environment and enjoy turning strategy into action? We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our team in the Beneficiation, Dewatering and Hydrometallurgy (BDH) Business Line in the Services Business Area! In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the development and implementation of a globally harmonized quality assurance framework for BDH Products, while also rolling up your sleeves to drive practical improvements, solve real-world challenges and ensure quality is embedded in our daily work. 

 

In this position, you will report to Director, Product Technical Support, located in Canada. 

 

The preferred location for this position is in Espoo, Tampere, Lappeenranta (Finland), or in Burlington (Canada). We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. 


What you do

 

  • Lead the development and coordination of BDH’s global quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with Market Areas (MA), Business Areas (BA), and Corporate Quality teams to ensure consistent quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, feedback management, and standardization.
  • Represent BDH in corporate quality forums and build a strong internal quality community.
  • Monitor and report on quality KPIs, including cost of poor quality, non-conformance reports, and on-time delivery.
  • Develop and implement harmonized quality standards and assurance processes.
  • Support BDH Product Groups and Functions in adopting quality systems.
  • Manage internal/external complaints and exceptional approval processes.
  • Facilitate quality target-setting and monthly performance reporting.
  • Escalate and resolve quality issues impacting BDH business.
  • Foster collaboration across global quality teams and external QC providers.

Who you are

 

  • Proven experience in quality management within a global manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, KPIs, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English. Additional languages are considered an asset. 
  • Experience working with third-party QC providers and vendors is a plus.
