We are seeking a Project Engineer, Equipment Package to join our Smelting Delivery Project Management team! In this position, you will act as an equipment package engineer in plant or equipment delivery projects. Your role plays an important part in maintaining a high level of satisfaction among our customers, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded. In this position, you will report to Manager, Project Engineers, based in Finland. 

The preferred location for this position is Espoo, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. 

What you do  

• Manage, plan and coordinate the equipment package engineering, technical purchasing and manufacturing according to main project plan so that financial, schedule and quality objectives, and also customer satisfaction, are achieved
• Write necessary technical specifications for equipment
• Operate as interface between equipment manufacturer and project team
• Plan and arrange expediting and inspections, and arrange information for forwarding
• Arrange supplier document reviews and acceptances
• Report monthly on equipment packages status to stakeholders (e.g. project manager)
• Support site work and, when needed, participate in supervision and commissioning
• Apply effectively Metso’s Business processes and tools 
   

Who you are 

• Bachelor (B.Sc.) or Master (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy or similar
• Experience in project work in customer delivery projects
• Experience in engineering is a benefit
• Ability to work under pressure and communicate assertively
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
• Good knowledge of common MS Office software. SAP ERP and Enovia are considered an asset
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Finnish language is an asset
• Strong teamwork skills
• Proactive mindset
