At Metso, we are continuously seeking motivated engineers, and now we are seeking a PLC Engineer to strengthen our Delivery Engineering team in Flotation and Thickener project deliveries and to ensure successful customer projects.
The location of this position is in Espoo, Finland.
What you’ll do
As a Software Engineer, you will develop and lead the programming work in equipment delivery projects. You will work closely with our Engineering and Project Management team to facilitate successful design and delivery of equipment on time, on spec and on budget. Further you will provide technical support as well as take part in designing customer-specific solutions.
Who you are
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Competence in Siemens TIA Portal and HMI/SCADA design
• Knowledge of industrial networks like Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet and Profibus
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams
• Business and industry understanding with strong customer orientation.
• Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Ability to manage multiple project interfaces in a cross-functional team
• Willingness to learn and grow as an engineer
• Good communication skills in spoken and written English
• Ability to travel occasionally to Customer sites/fabricator workshops
