Introduction
Are you passionate about media relations, social media and shaping a strong corporate voice? We are looking for a Manager, External Communications to strengthen Metso’s external communications, media management and Metso’s global social media presence as part of our External Communications and Public Affairs team.
In this role, you will play a key part in building Metso’s visibility, reputation and thought leadership globally. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, working closely with senior leaders and communications and marketing colleagues across the organization.
What you’ll do
- Develop media relations practices and analytics capabilities.
- Manage and coordinate media inquiries and Metso’s press releases.
- Lead and develop Metso’s global social media strategy and channel approach.
- Coach and share insights with social media content creators across the organization.
- Manage the global social media editorial plan and calendar.
- Provide social media thought leadership and coaching for senior management.
Who you are
- Master's degree in Communications or an applicable field.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape and what drives media interest.
- Excellent understanding of social media platforms, content formats and best practices.
- Ability to translate data into insights and insights into action.
- Experience in working in a global company setup to drive impactful communications.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, as well as to coach senior leaders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Finnish.
