Introduction

As a Trainee – Corporate Legal, you will:​

• Support the lawyers in our Corporate Legal team in corporate law and governance, IT & digital, AI, privacy, competition and other relevant legal fields
• Support lawyers in contracting work, background research, as well as other assignments and projects
• Assist with subsidiary governance documentation and communication with authorities in various countries
• Support the preparation and implementation of Metso’s legal policies, guidelines and trainings
• Have an opportunity to work in a global environment with various stakeholders
• Have versatile and challenging tasks in a global setting that will develop your professional skills and competencies

Who you are

• Master’s-level law student, preferably in the final stages of your studies
• A proactive can-do mindset and willingness to take on new challenges
• Positive attitude and great work ethic 
• Eagerness to develop problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership of the assigned tasks and projects, and drive them proactively 
• Eagerness to learn more, develop, and succeed in the role.​
• An ability to work as part of a team, while also working independently on certain tasks.
• Good command of Microsoft Office tools
• Fluent communication (written and oral) skills in English; Finnish and other languages are an asset.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2145-2991 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.

Our Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
