We are looking for a Legal Counsel to strengthen our Aggregates Legal team. We offer a truly international working environment in an interesting area of business. You will have the opportunity to work in a multinational organization with supportive colleagues and a good team spirit. Legal Counsel helps Metso’s Aggregates business with support in contractual and commercial matters, ranging from strategic advice to negotiating with stakeholders and drafting contracts.

 

This position is mainly located in Espoo, Finland, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

 

What you'll do

 

  • Give support to business globally in all contractual and commercial issues
  • Support in managing international distribution network of 300+ distributors globally
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other documents related to Metso’s business (e.g. distribution, sales, procurement, agency agreements)
  • Contribute to the successful protection of Metso's intellectual assets
  • Support and advice in risk management
  • Prepare and give internal trainings

 

Who you are

 

  • Master's degree in law
  • 5-10 years of experience from legal and contractual work in attorney’s office or as an in-house legal role in a corporation
  • Strong experience in working in an international environment or in heavy industry
  • Good business acumen and negotiation skills, with a practical approach to problems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to explain and/or visualize legal concepts in a business context
  • Flexible, independent, and team-minded working style
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English are necessary, and other languages are seen as an asset (working language is mainly English)
  • Willingness to travel internationally
