Lead Enterprise Architect role is crucial in turning our strategic ambitions into a reality. We are moving towards a more digital future where data, analytics, AI and automation play an increasingly important role. Digitalization of our products and services is progressing fast and our architecture work has to ensure we are building scalable, robust, lean and cost-efficient architecture to enable this. Enterprise architecture needs to ensure that we build interoperable business capabilities and processes that are optimized across our technology and application landscape.

 

This position is mainly located in Espoo or Tampere, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

 

 

Team you belong to

 

You will join a team of IT professionals who are passionate about enabling Metso’s business strategy through innovative, efficient, and secure technology solutions. Metso IT teams are organized into development portfolios and specialized functions, covering areas such as IT architecture, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, infrastructure, and automation. We are currently developing modern digital capabilities, managing end-to-end service delivery, and supporting business-critical transformation initiatives. We work closely with internal stakeholders, including business areas, portfolio managers, and service owners, to ensure alignment and value realization.

 

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Ensure alignment of our strategic targets with IT and digital developments by defining architecture target states and development roadmaps.
  • Impact technology and architecture decisions for new business demands through architecture design and review processes.
  • Drive changes into our architecture and drive the development of architectural enablers to support our future business and digital demands.
  • Drive simplicity and reduce the complexity of Metso enterprise architecture.
  • Lead practices for architecture modeling, tools, and techniques, across all architecture layers; business, information, applications, and technology.
  • Define, maintain, and communicate architectural principles and guidelines to drive desired architectural behavior within the organization.

 

 

Who you are

 

  • Experience from an enterprise architect role from large enterprises or from a consulting background.
  • Familiar with enterprise architecture methods and tools, prior experience with business capabilities, process models, applications, technology, and information architectures.
  • Experience from a similar industry is considered a benefit.
  • Familiarity with data architecture work, modern data delivery, and integration design.
  • Experience in network building and communications.
  • Leadership, facilitation, and coordination experience.
