Introduction

 

We are seeking a Facility and Administration Manager to join our Market Area Administration organization in Finland! As Facility and Administration Manager, you play an integral role in managing Metso's facilities across Finland. You are at the heart of our operations and lead an extensive maintenance and facility service provider network. In this role, you report to Administrative Managing Director.

 

The preferred location for this position is either Espoo or Tampere (Finland), but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. The ability to travel to our locations nationally is necessary. 

 

Team you belong to 

 

Metso's Market Area AMD organization has several responsibilities. Firstly, it oversees the functional activities within the country. Secondly, it manages owned and leased premises efficiently. Thirdly, it ensures that expense, investment, and working capital decisions within the country are properly assessed. Fourthly, it ensures the quality of local administrative work. And finally, it supports the achievement of Metso's overall strategic targets. The AMD organization collaborates with both external and internal stakeholders to drive improvements in the administrative field of local operations. 
 
What you do

 

  • Enable business success through efficient facility management across Finland
  • Plan, manage, develop and ensure occupational safety in facility maintenance operations and facility services
  • Oversee a team of 4 individuals in their daily work
  • Implement sustainability initiatives related to facilities 
  • Coordinate moves, renovations, and facility plans
  • Own the facility spend and drive synergies & savings 
  • Act as a main contact towards landlords in the case of leased premises, as well as act as a landlord for any tenants (sub-leases) in Metso’s premises
  • Ensure that facilities always support the health and safety of our employees, serve our business and our hybrid working model in the best possible way
  • Understand business requirements, manage stakeholders and their expectations and chair cross-functional roundtables to achieve the best overall solutions regarding facility matters

 

Who you are

 

  • You have a Technical or Commercial degree in Real Estate, Construction, or Facility management 
  • You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in facility management and you understand the importance of facilities for employee safety, productivity and work satisfaction
  • You know building technology, including building automation, water, sewerage, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, extinguishing systems, IT, electricity, process water, compressed air network etc.
  • You communicate fluently in Finnish and English across the organization 
  • You have previous project management experience from different facility initiatives
  • You have an analytical approach to building business cases and driving change
  • You have previously managed a team or held a team lead role.
