Introduction
We are looking for a Director, Project Logistics for Services Business Area Supply Chain to lead and develop our global project logistics operations. In this role, you will ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective execution of complex project deliveries, directly contributing to on-time performance, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will report to the Vice President, Logistics.
The preferred location for this role is in Espoo, Finland. This role can include up to 20% travel to customer sites and other Metso locations.
Team you will belong to
You will lead a global team of approximately 40 project logistics professionals, including senior managers, located in several countries around the world. The team supports SVS project deliveries across all Market Areas and Business Lines, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality execution. Our global team is working closely with project management, procurement, and customers. We value open communication, accountability, and a strong Getting things done – together mindset.
What you’ll do
- Lead a global Services (SVS) Business Area Project Logistics organization through senior managers, driving performance, governance, and accountability
- Own end-to-end project logistics services for SVS Project Deliveries across all Market Areas and Business Lines
- Ensure reliable execution across all logistics modes, including complex routings and oversized cargo
- Develop, coach, and strengthen leadership capabilities across the organization
- Define and drive a strong people and capability development agenda
- Foster a customer-centric, performance-driven culture with a strong focus on safety and engagement

- Proven track record in leading international teams and delivering high-performance logistics execution
