Introduction
We are looking for an analytical and collaborative finance professional, a Controller, to strengthen our 17-person Group Controlling team. This is a new role, where you will work alongside the Financial Controller of the Parent company, handling tasks related to accounting and reporting. You will also work closely with the finance team of another Finnish subsidiary and with our service center colleagues in Vilnius.
This position is located in Espoo, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
What you’ll do
As a Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Performing month-end closing activities
- Supporting accounting tasks and reconciliations
- Managing VAT matters (both domestic and international)
- Monitoring, updating, and reconciling fixed assets and right-of-use assets
- Assisting with financial statement preparation
- Preparing balance sheet specifications
- Supporting group reporting processes
- Handling various ad hoc tasks across different areas of financial administration
Who you are
- You have a relevant educational background in finance or accounting
- Bring a few years of experience in financial accounting tasks
- Demonstrate accuracy, initiative, an analytical mindset, and strong collaboration skills
- Possess fluent, professional proficiency in both Finnish and English
Additionally, we value
• A solid understanding of the specific characteristics of legal entity accounting
• Knowledge of both international (IFRS) and Finnish (FAS) accounting standards
• Experience with financial systems such as Basware, Aico, Fatman, SAP, and OneStream
• Strong proficiency in Office tools, especially advanced use of Excel
