Introduction

 

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join Metso’s corporate Compliance & Risk Management team as a Compliance & Risk Specialist. In this globally oriented role, you will play an important part in strengthening Metso’s responsible business conduct and risk resilience across the organization.

This position is mainly located in Espoo, Finland, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

 

What you’ll do

 

As Compliance & Risk Specialist, you will:

 

•    Manage Compliance Tools & Processes: Ensure smooth operations of our compliance mailbox, tools, and systems, including compliance screening tools, third-party due diligence workflows, and conflict-of-interest processes. You may also participate in selected compliance investigations.
•    Conduct Compliance Checks: Perform compliance screenings for customers, suppliers, distributors, and other business partners, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders. Provide compliance guidance to business.
•    Support Regulatory Monitoring: Support regulatory monitoring and help assess their impact and required actions.
•    Develop Resources & Tools: Create, maintain, and distribute essential templates, checklists, and other materials to support internal stakeholders.
•    Contribute to Training: Design and deliver engaging training programs to strengthen compliance and risk management awareness throughout the organization.
•    Drive Communication: Keep the organization informed by sharing relevant compliance and risk updates and supporting various reporting needs.
•    Advance Risk Management Tools & Processes: Contribute to the development of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) practices and support global insurance management.
•    Provide Versatile Risk Management Support: Offer hands-on assistance across key risk management areas, helping the organization to navigate evolving risk landscapes.

 

Who you are

 

To succeed in this role, you will need:

 

•    Strong ethical principles, including alignment with Metso Values.
•    Efficiency and accountability in managing diverse tasks with high quality and timeliness.
•    Solid understanding of business, legal, and compliance topics.
•    A collaborative mindset and eagerness to support colleagues and businesses.
•    Curiosity and initiative, with a hands-on approach to continuous learning and problem-solving.
•    Strong digital and analytical competence, including fluency in business applications, technical proficiency and familiarity with AI-supported tools and data interpretation.
•    Excellent communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, compelling materials.
•    Fluency in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus.
•    Master’s level degree in a relevant field such as law, business, risk management, or similar discipline.
