Introduction
We are looking for a Communications Specialist to join Metso’s Internal Communications and Functions team within Communications and Public Affairs. Our team supports internal and external communications for Metso’s global functions, including Strategy, HR, Finance, Legal, AI, Quality, Safety and Sustainability, and partners closely with our business areas to plan and deliver impactful communications internally. We also develop communication channels and use of AI in communications.
In this role, you will join the editorial work with our global network and support content creation across channels. You will play a key role in developing Metso’s internal communications channels, including our Boulevard intranet, info screens and Viva Engage communities. Videos are key to the success of our communications, and you will be responsible for making top-notch videos and will lead our video development in communications. You will also join us to develop the use of AI, agents and bots in our daily communications work and across our key channels.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of impactful communications at Metso and support our We go beyond. strategy implementation through clear, engaging, and future-looking communications.
This position is preferably located in Espoo, Finland due to the proximity of key stakeholders. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
This is a temporary substitution position planned until January 2029.
What you’ll do

Coordinate editorial planning and content flow of chosen key topics with the global communications network and other key stakeholders. Support communications for Metso’s business areas and global functions.

Manage filming and video-editing of key internal videos and develop the use of videos in communications and our internal video studio.

Create, edit and develop engaging content formats, including blogs, vlogs, podcasts, emerging AI-enabled formats and manage photography in communications.

Manage and develop editorial agents and bots to support efficient communications processes.

Experiment, develop and scale new ways of working and tools with AI.

Act as Viva Engage community manager and support active dialogue and engagement among Metsonites.

Support events and info calls.

Use channel analytics and data to develop content, improve reach, and strengthen the impact of internal communications.

Contribute to other communications projects and collaborate actively with colleagues, stakeholders, and the global network of Metsonites.
Who you are
-
A relevant university degree.
-
Interest in corporate communications in a globally operating company.
-
Excellent written and spoken English, with strong editorial judgment and the ability to create clear, engaging content for different internal audiences.

Creativity and passion for content creation and experience in developing content across channels.

Proven experience of filming and editing corporate videos. Strong interest in videos, photography, animations, or other visual content formats development.

Interest and experience in digital communications development. Good project management skills and experience for example from intranet and web projects.

Interest in learning and developing the use of AI in communications, including editorial agents, intranet agents, bots, and new ways of working.

Have an eye on visual details and understand the importance of brand.

Open mindset to experiment with new communications formats and tools to create business impact.

Ability to build relationships and trust with various internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and global communications networks.
