We are looking for a Commercial/Contracts Manager to join our Commercial Management team in the Minerals business area. In this role, you will provide commercial and contractual leadership across a portfolio of international projects, helping to protect and enhance project performance while supporting successful project execution.

 

You will report to the Commercial/Contracts Manager, and the role location is Espoo, Finland, with a hybrid working model available.

You will join the Commercial Management team within Minerals Performance Solutions. The team provides commercial and contractual support across international projects, working to manage risk, protect project value, and support successful project delivery.

 

 

The team collaborates closely with project management, customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders on commercial, contractual, and risk-related matters throughout the project lifecycle.

 

 

What you'll do

 

  • Provide commercial and contractual support for international projects as part of the core project management team.
  • Support request for quotation (RFQ) activities, proposal reviews, and technical and commercial consistency analyses.
  • Lead contract negotiations, contract preparation, and contract administration activities.
  • Manage payment processes, support invoicing activities, and oversee contractual correspondence.
  • Coordinate change management, claims management, dispute resolution, and settlement activities.
  • Support risk evaluations and develop contract strategies with customers and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate insurance, taxation, guarantees, subcontractor management, warranty matters, and contract close-out activities.
  • Contribute to achieving project targets related to safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.

 


What you'll bring

 

 

  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • Deep expertise in contract management within complex project implementation environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage contract negotiations, contract administration, claims, disputes, settlements, and commercial risk.
  • Extensive experience delivering projects in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build productive commercial relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate contractual and commercial matters and develop effective recommendations.
  • Understanding of project delivery processes, including scheduling principles.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, subcontractors, and cross-functional project teams.
