We are seeking an Automation Specialist to join our EIA Engineering team. You will be part of the delivery team for new projects and updating existing equipment and systems, which involves improving their automation. In this position, you will report to the Director, EIA Engineering.
This position is mainly located in Espoo, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Please note that this position involves some traveling to customer sites within Finland and internationally (around 50-100 days per year).

What you’ll do
- Automation engineering in new deliveries and updating existing equipment and systems.
- Products related to our Anode Furnaces and Anode Casting workshops. Tasks may involve handling other PLC products as well.
- In addition to customer contact, you will collaborate closely with project teams, product lines, and subcontractors.
- Intelligent instruments are also a significant part of the job, with the Automation Specialist participating in the R&D phase, installation, and customer support.
Who you are
- You have a B.Sc. degree in a relevant field, like Automation or Electrical Engineering.
- You have already gained some previous experience in automation engineering, and you are eager to learn more every day.
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- You have strong interpersonal skills, and you are able to communicate with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- You are able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Previous experience working with Siemens PLC or Allen-Bradley PLC is an asset.
- Knowledge of DCS Systems will give you a head start.
