Application Specialist, SAP Reporting

Introduction 

We are seeking an Application Specialist, SAP Reporting to join our Metso IT Reporting & Analytics applications team. You will be responsible for the development and advanced support of SAP reporting solutions in close collaboration with your peers, IT and business experts. 

This position is mainly located in Espoo or Tampere, but other locations in Europe (e.g. Vilnius) are also taken into account. We are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Role might involve up to 10-15% of travel both in Finland and abroad.

You will join a team of IT Reporting & Analytics professionals who are passionate about enabling customer success. We are currently working on numerous projects, programs and advanced support services. We work closely with internal and external stakeholders across Metso’s businesses, functions and IT teams, IT service partners and IT vendors. What you’ll do 

• Develop SAP business warehouse and embedded analytics solutions together with our specialists and external counterparts 

• Define these solutions together with Metso business stakeholders and ensure high quality delivery 

• Participate in troubleshooting around SAP business warehouse, embedded analytics and reporting 

• Application owner or co-owner of SAP reporting solutions 

• Consultancy and technical advisory for reporting and analytics development projects 

 
Who you are 

• Proficient in SAP data modeling with SAP BW/4HANA or SAP BW on HANA 

• Experienced in S/4 analytics concept, CDS views and Embedded Analytics 

• Experienced in other reporting and analytics technologies and SQL 

• Understanding SAP S/4HANA functional areas, such as procurement, logistics and warehouse management 

• Understanding SAP basis, IT infrastructure and IT security aspects of SAP reporting solutions 

• Solid understanding of business and logistics processes 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders and service providers. 

• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 

• Proactive in identifying and resolving issues, with the ability to adapt to changing technologies and business requirements to ensure smooth solution and service delivery. 

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in relevant Business or Engineering field of study
