Application Specialist, Integrations

Introduction 

We are looking for an Application Specialist, Integrations who is experienced in Azure Integration Services to join our Application Platforms team in Metso IT Applications in Espoo.

As an Application Specialist, Integrations you’ll work closely with Manager, Application Integrations, development team members, partners and other IT teams to develop integrations and also secure application integrations delivery end-to-end. The task is interactive and you keep a close connection with stakeholders in business and IT is within your daily duties.

Team you belong to 

The team is responsible for Enterprise Application Integration, cloud integration, APIs, and API management. We develop and maintain integrations for global applications in close collaboration with architecture teams, application specialists, and business.

What’ll you do 

• Follow up, maintain and keep overall and detailed view on ongoing development tasks utilizing JIRA and participating in Scrum and other development related work sessions.  

• Participate in developing IT tools and processes and apply selected practices within the IT and digital development model (e.g., SAFe, ITIL).  

• Drive agility and speed in development while ensuring application integrations meet agreed business value metrics and KPI targets, including performance, availability, satisfaction, usability, security, and cost.  

• Act as a subject matter expert for integration-related topics and changes, provide feedback, and promote strong information security in all activities and decisions. 

Who you are 

• 4+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise integration solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. 

• Expertise in Microsoft Azure Integration Services, including Function Apps, Logic Apps, API Management, Service bus and Event Grid. 

• Strong understanding of Enterprise Integration Patterns and their practical application across diverse integration scenarios. 

• Good knowledge of SOA, ESB, REST APIs, Microservices, and Event-driven architecture. 

• Good knowledge of .NET programming concepts. 

• Knowledge of Azure security constructs, identity management, and best practices. 

• Good knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. 

• Good understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies. 

• Strong communication skills with fluency in English.
