Introduction
Metso is seeking an Application Owner, Logistics and Purchasing, to join our IT Supply Chain Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for the lifecycle management and development of IT solutions in the logistics and purchasing domain. This includes SAP S/4HANA modules (primarily MM and IM), and related applications. Your contribution will be critical to the performance and success of Metso’s Logistics and Purchasing operations. You will report to the Senior Manager, Logistics and Procurement Applications within Metso IT.
Team You Belong To
You will join a team of six Supply Chain IT experts dedicated to building and maintaining solutions that power Metso’s global supply chain. The team is currently focused on SAP S/4HANA implementation and the development of logistics and purchasing applications. We work in close collaboration with Metso’s Logistics, Procurement, and Business Areas, and our members are located in Finland and Brazil. You’ll report directly to the Senior Manager, Logistics and Procurement Applications.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure performance, availability, and quality of your applications.
- Coordinate, delegate, and monitor IT work.
- Collect and document requirements, perform functional analysis, design, build/test/document solutions, and transfer knowledge to stakeholders.
- Participate in IT tools and processes development, implementing Agile, DevOps, and ITIL practices.
- Achieve business value metrics and KPIs: performance, availability, satisfaction, usability, security, and cost.
- Address application service topics and changes, provide feedback, and act as a subject matter expert.
- Take on special project/program/product delivery IT responsibilities as needed.
Who You Are
We are looking for a hands-on SAP professional with a strong ownership and solution mindset.
- Proven SAP MM and IM configuration experience, preferably in the S/4HANA environment.
- 4+ years of IT and supply chain experience with a strong focus on SAP logistics modules.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Economics.
Nice-to-haves:
- EWM configuration background in logistics processes and inventory management.
- Experience with 3PL integration and external partner workshops.
- Knowledge of cross-functional SAP integration (FI, EWM, SD, PP, TM).
