Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We are seeking an innovative Product Engineer to join our Horizontal Grinding Mills (HGM) product engineering team. If you thrive in a busy environment and have an understanding of juggling multiple projects, we want to hear from you! We have two positions open for applications, ideally, one position is for more experienced engineers (6+yrs) in relevant industries, and the second is for younger professionals with less (2+yrs) work experience.

 

About the Role: In the position of Product Engineer or Senior Product Engineer, you will play a central role in our design operations, employing Inventor and SolidWorks CAD systems to develop innovative Horizontal Grinding Mills product modules. You’ll collaborate with our project delivery, sourcing, and installation teams, ensuring seamless integration and top-notch performance.

 

Location: The job location is based in Espoo, Finland, or Perth, Australia. Also, York PA is a possible location. This role involves up to 10% travel to component manufacturers and customer sites.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Design & Modelling: Investigate, assess, plan, and create high-quality Horizontal Mill product modules that meet the latest design standards and compliance requirements.
  • Support Projects: Provide local and global expertise in design, fabrication, quality assurance, sourcing, and troubleshooting.
  • Engineering Calculations: Ensure the safe function of equipment for manufacturing, transportation, installation, and maintenance.
  • Mechanical Drawings: Prepare detailed drawings to facilitate fabrication, transportation, installation, and maintenance.
  • Sales support: Collaborate with our sales and proposals team providing them with support materials that represent the latest designs and features in our product portfolio.
  • Risk Assessments: Participate in risk assessments to comply with safety standards. Learn, implement, and take ownership of product compliance in our day-to-day business.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in mechanical engineering and suggest product improvements.
     

Who You Are

 

  • Educational Background: Mechanical Engineering degree or industrial engineering degree.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of design experience in product/project engineering for mining, mineral processing, or similar heavy industries.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, with experience in Inventor and/or parametric modeling tools.
  • Additional Skills: Experience with Enovia PLM system, SAP workflows, and FEA modeling tools is advantageous.
  • Capable of overseeing various initiatives solo and adept at coordinating seamlessly with worldwide partners.
