Introduction to the Role
The Manager, Digital Inspections, APA, is responsible for leading and promoting the Digital Inspections service offerings for the APA Market Area in alignment with the Digital Inspections Product Group strategy.
Due to the diverse operational/ geographical location of the digital inspection teams located across East and West Coast, applicants located in Brisbane, Tomago, Orange or Henderson/ Perth are encouraged to apply.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify and develop sales opportunities, based on agreed KPI’s
- Develop compelling proposals for customers, including pricing for Digital Inspections in Asia Pacific market area
- Perform technical Digital Inspections and evaluations and analyse root cause analysis and failure modes, generating high value recommendations and improvements
- Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on industrial assets
- Lead promotion and sales of Digital Inspection products and services to prospective and existing customers
- Develop, in collaboration with APA MA Field Services, Digital Inspection field services capability
- Supervise Digital Inspection field service projects on customer sites.
- Work with the Director, Digital Inspections to develop strategies and roadmaps for growth
- Generate synergies across Professional Services & GBCP Product Group within Metso.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
Essential
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Mechanical and/or electrical and instrumentation knowledge and proficiency is a must.
- Comprehensive knowledge on girth gears and gearing is highly preferred.
- Experience, and/or knowledge of NDT is preferred.
- Five (5) years applicable industry, company and products and services knowledge/experience.
- Prior field service experience is highly preferred.
- Autonomous, capable of making decisions, work with minimum supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, spoken and written.
- Product knowledge of Digital Inspection offerings.
- Capability from demonstrated experiences to make quick, accurate decisions relative to problem solution and problem liability.
- Experience in leading and managing teams across multiple geographical locations will be highly regarded.
