Senior Accountant
Düsseldorf, DE
We are seeking a Senior Accountant (m/f/d) with immediate effect. Location will be Düsseldorf, Germany.
What you’ll do
- Manage month-end and year-end closings per corporate guidelines and schedules.
- Prepare and post all General Ledger entries, including assets, liabilities, accruals, deferrals, and payroll.
- Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
- Maintain the Fixed Assets Table, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- Coordinate with GBS (Global Business Service - Shared Service Centre) for GL entries, Fixed Assets, Bank entries and Accounts Payable.
- Oversee Intercompany invoicing and netting processes.
- Prepare account reconciliations according to corporate standards.
- Prepare preliminary tax reports (monthly sales tax, EU reports) and liaise with tax advisors on annual tax declarations.
- Support in Tax Audits
Who you are
- Several years of accounting experience, with strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets knowledge.
- Proficiency in statutory accounting (HGB) and international accounting standards.
- Proven experience collaborating with auditors and tax advisors, managing external and internal financial reporting.
- Excellent experience with SAP-ERP system.
- Fluency in English and German, both verbally and written.
- Strong understanding and commitment to internal controls and deadlines.
