Join Metso and play a key role in supporting our operations. We’re seeking an organised and proactive Finance and Administration officer to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is central to ensuring smooth coordination across our accounts and administration function.
Working closely with production, logistics, sales, and finance, you’ll help keep our processes running efficiently and support the team to deliver exceptional service to our customers. As we prepare for our transition to SAP in 2026, this position offers genuine opportunities to evolve and grow with the business.
What you’ll do
- Manage the complete accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Process customer invoicing and payments, distribution of invoices and statements, monitor outstanding accounts, and support timely follow-ups.
- Process supplier invoices, match them to purchase orders, process payment runs and bank payment transactions.
- Maintain supplier and customer deposit records.
- Complete regular bank reconciliations and maintain currency exchange rate data.
- Month-end general ledger reconciliations to trial balance and preparation for financial reporting.
- Assist in month-end reporting.
- Quarterly BAS preparation.
- Support management with ad hoc financial reporting and administration tasks.
- Assist with import and export logistics documentation and certificates of origin paperwork.
- Contribute to process improvements as we transition to SAP and continue to modernise our systems.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a similar accounts or accounting role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial and administrative tasks.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems (Epicor or SAP experience highly regarded).
- A willingness to adapt and learn as we continue to modernise our systems and processes.
